Year 6,7 and 8's went surfing on Thursday I really enjoyed  surfing because I've never done it before.I heard the waves splashing around me waves soaring. Ok I thought to myself I can do this.I got help from jack and woosh! There I go it was so much fun I was going like the speed of light.My best friend Tiana stood up on the board! Finally I tried and...I fell over of course.But we had two groups so then we got to do surfing in the morning.There was amazing waves in the morning block.We were surfing for 2-3 hours i'm not so sure.After the next group went surfing and we got to swim in the lake and play in the beach! I really enjoyed surfing.

In our class we have been learning about Advent.I have found some information about Advent here is my facts:

  What is Advent?
Advent is a season seen in many christian churches as a time of returning  of the birth of Jesus.

Symbols of Advent

1. The Advent wreath is one of the best known symbols of Advent the evergreen circle is a symbol for forever life.

2. Advent candles are usually comprised of three purple candles with one rose or pink.The candles recall the weeks that pass.

3 An Advent calendar shows the passing of Advent.

4. Each candle represents and emotion.
 -Hope
 -Joy
 -Love
 -Peace.

Suzanne Aubert Prayer

In our class we have been looking around Suzanne Aubert's traits and when we choose one of her traits we then write a prayer about her.Suzanne Aubert is a Saint in New Zealand her Nationality is New Zealand and French.She was born on 19th June 1835,passed away at 1st October 1926.Her other names were Sister Mary Joseph  and Mother Aubert.

Suzanne Aubert courageous Leader in your life you have been a courageous Leader by leading others the right way of God.You were a brave Leader by having Gods beliefs.Please pray for me heavenly Father that I would one day become a courageous Leader and to give in no fear.

In our class we have been doing poems! Like haiku  poems and acrostic poems I decided to do acrostic poem I had a lot of fun doing this!

Whats an acrostic poem?
-an acrostic poem is like for example
swimming in the hot sun
under the sun
munching on chips
making sand castles
eating ice-cream
running around in the sand
This was my acrostic poem for summer.So i choose summer so I have to think of things I enjoy doing in summer.Here is some of my acrostic poems

Environment-marine life
Apples on the way😂
Racing around
Teaching people about our earth,and whats happening around us
Hiking and seeing the world

It was tricky.I also did some haiku's.A haiku is a poem with syllables
So you first start with 5 syllables and then 7 and back to 5 only three sentences.Like try it with your own name. PRI-YAN-CI I have 3 syllables you can try it out yourself and see how much syllables you have in your name here are a few haiku's I've done so far😀

 Flowers shine all day                     
they turn out so beautifully
I enjoy flowers

Waves splashing
sun is shining above me                    Those are all the poems I've done I hope you enjoyed them

                                        I'M A GOOGLE NINJA!!!

Today our class did the google doc ninja challenge! I am now a google doc ninja😃! I am very proud of my self the black belt was very challenging😐. I most enjoyed doing the green belt,most. I have learnt a lot of things to do in my device.We got the idea of doing this from our buddy class Matawai school. Because they also did a post about their google doc ninjas! I really enjoyed this task and reading their experience with their day of doing it!

😊Our school did Athletics Last week.


Year 6 first did sprinting I was very nervous about sprinting...
But the year 5's did it with us so they had to go first so the year 6's had to wait a while,finally it was our turn my heart was beating fast...ON YOUR MARKS GET SET GO! Swoosh! I was panting like forever! Finally I was at the finish line.Relieved i was done.Our next activity was long jump  I was excited to do this it's really fun! Long jump is where you run as fast as you can and you jump on sand and they record how far you jumped.It was probably my second favourite thing to do out of the day you'll see why :) Our next activity was High Jump which was a bar that you have to scissor kick over i can't do it i can't even jump over the bar.....So i ended up helping.Next was hurdles this was my favourite it was so much fun! We got to go under hurdles jump over hurdles.After we have done all of our activity's the relays! I didn't want to compete in it this year but it was very fun to watch!

Last week on Friday some of the students from my school joined in the colour run.Me and my friends were all so excited to be all coloured even if we had to run 5 km because we could walk if we like .First we did some  funny exercise with some funny music which made it so funny.After that the race was about to begin I was nervous when they were counting down...3,2,1 GO! Everyone was racing speeding my heart was pounding.The first colour we were coloured in was yellow didn't get much colour from yellow...But we had 4 more stations! There were so much kids behind me and in front of me I had no idea where my friends were! I kinda got a little tired so i started to walk.I started to jog a little and i found my friends! We were entering the purple station i got a lot of purple! Hooray! After a few station me and my friends just walked cause we were exhausted.Then my heart was pounding in excitement! THERE WAS A PINK STATION I ran like i never did before.I tried to get as much as i can i did hooray!


After the race we just sat down so tired....
After a while they were giving out well chucking out prices unfortunately i didn't get one but i was happy anyways 😃
